I just put it on a tight .003 inches and the noise pretty much went away, I haven't done anything yet but eager to get this scooter on the road again to see what I can do to make it run better. To be honest I'm contemplating putting back the 13/40 gear ratio just so I can have the 7000+RPM back. But then again I'm pretty much open to get a BBK now as well, I've been looking during my down time and I believe 60mm BBK is the largest my scooter can go without milling or boring the crankcase out. My plan is: - 60mm BBK. - 58.5mm valve head. - A9 camshaft. - Still don't know which carb to get yet but I'm leaning towards 30mm. If you think the above equation is doable or not, let me know. I'm also may think about 3mm or 4mm stroker but that will require me to open a crankcase which I don't feel like doing. Yes, I'm lazy... I think if I do that mod above (minus stroker), I think it should be enough for the engine to push the speed above 6K instead of where it is now with my 15/37 gear ratio, right? I do have 1 major component that will stop me from all this though..."wife"...

Put up a Video of the scooter idling, a TICKY TICKY is fine no damage if it CLATTERS then they are to loose. But a ticky ticky will usually quite down after it gets hot because everything expands. Also after some miles they will also quite down. If you use LIGHT WEIGHT OIL they will make more noise as well. Alleyoop

My ticky noise gets louder as the motor heats up. Tightening the valve adjustment quiets it down at idle, but it comes back when I ride it. I'm using 10W40 oil.

Put up a VIDEO with sound, it does not make sense and I do not think it is your valves. Alleyoop

The video that I made is too large to attach. I don't know how to shrink it.

Hey Alley and JR,
My scooter starts up with a quick touch which is wonderful. I found myself in a probably a minor issue, once the engine warms up, it will idle almost at 1100 RPM and cut itself off. Am I missing something or is there any area that I would need to focus to make the idle RPM to be steady at around 1800 RPM like it was before?
As always, any advice will be greatly appreciated.

It should idle around 1500 rpms so raise the idle using the IDLE SPEED SCREW it is on the SIDE where the throttle cable is it has a SPRING ON it you can't miss it. Turn it CLOCKWISE to raise the idle a little see if it will then not die. Alleyoop

I turned it clockwise almost 2 full turns and now it's idling around 1700 but it's really rough after the engine is warmed up. In fact, after the engine warmed up the whole scooter shakes during idle almost like it's misfiring...I'm going to look deeper into this but if you have any suggestions please do let me know.
