Hello!
This my first post so I hope I do it within the guidelines.
Mounted in the area behind the headlight is a Black Box with a four pin connector.
Mating connector comes from main harness and and has four wires Red, Yellow, Green, Brown/White.
Box measures 1 3/4 x 1 x 7/8 inches. P/N on box: x110530

My Question: What does this box do and where can I buy one?

1. Model: ZN150T-9 ZNEN Year 2011
2. Engine bn157qmj (150cc)
3. 13 inch wheels, disk brakes front and rear
4. Headlight is on only when engine is running except for "Pass" which will turn on Head Light
when engine is not running. (Head light has High/Low and Pass switch)
5. Four wire ignition switch.
A* DC CDI (4 Wires)
B* 3 phase stator; 6 wire Rectifier/Regulator
C* Kill Switch grounds pulse from Pick Up in stator to CDI to stop engine.
D* Instrument Panel Indicators: Left and Right Turn ,
Hi Beam, Cell phone, Brakes. Also, Fuel gauge, Speedometer, Tachometer,Voltage Meter.

post a picture of it , it sure sounds like a 4pin regulator . What color are the wires from the stator list all ?

From the stator/magneto: 3 orange wires that mates to connector with 3 yellow wires going to a 6 wire R/R
Also from Stator/Magneto 1 green wire and 1blue/white wire

Will post Picture as soon as I figure out how to do it.

In previous post I listed a Part Number x110530. I Belive this a
Znen Date code rather than a P/N.

Looks like a CDI. As far as I know, you need at least 5 wires connected to a CDI. Here's a help file on CDI's. Check page 3 for the typical wiring for a CDI.

Control box for Pass Lighting circuit.
("Pass" which will turn on Head Light
when engine is not running.)

This a guess but seems logical

Mating connector comes from main harness and and has four wires Red, Yellow, Green, Brown/White.
Red----------- 12 volts batt
Yellow-------- AC lighting
Green --------Ground
Brown/white ---Trigger

the connector is def than a CDI box would have so something to do with the lights or security sys would be my best guess

Take a picture of the plug side of the box like this:
A CDI can have anywhere from 4 to 8 connectors and not all connectors may have a wire going to it.

Well looks like I'm a day late ! I vote cdi . Is it 4 pin or 5pin ?
from the stator sounds like dc cdi , I guess 4pin .

Thanks to all who responded.
The Scoot has a two connector DC CDI utilizing 4 wires.
Chihuahuas, I think you got it. Headlight controller. Anyone have a diagram
of Pass swich/controller? Also Where can I buy one?

Nope sorry the box is a CDI, no such thing as a light controller. You told it all when you said the lights will run only with the scooter running and the Pass switch will turn on the light with it not running and I might add only with the key on. The headlights run off of Rectified AC with the engine running and the pass switch is wired to the black wire off of the key switch and is 12Vdc with the key on and I might add it only turns on the hi beam light at that.

You haven't said one way or another, is the scooter running? If so then why a CDI? If it's not running it could be something as simple as a loose wire?

Also I don't know where the colors came from as far as what the other poster listed but from the picture it looks like this:

green = ground
black = DC voltage to CDI from igntion
brown/white = pulse coil from stator with engine kill wire linked in the middle to kill engine
yellow/black = CDI to spark plug coil feed

A test;

Take volt meter, turn the key on and see if you have 12Vdc on black wire to CDI.

Not trying to be difficult here as I did ask for help. The scoot is running. I am the curious type and am trying to to create an accurate wiring diagram of my scoot.
The DC CDI does indeed Have +12v going to it. it is mounted in the engine compartment section. The Mysterious black box is mounted in the front headlight section and also has +12 volts going to it. the wire colors are: green, black, yellow, brown/white. The Picture is not clear. The Mysterious black box (MBB) may be a cdi but is not being utilized as such. This is a Znen zn150-T9 and the closest diagram I have is a Diagram for a Lance Milan which I previously downloaded along withy many others. (Thanks JR) from this forum.
Again, thanks for any ideas and comments.
