I have a 2012 Titan Velocity 150cc w/GY6 engine and 400 miles. Today, it wouldn't start with the switch, but starts fine using the kick starter and runs great. Wire off somewhere? Could it be a fuse somewhere? Has to be simple, right?

well yea should be simple, but wont be j/kif you can get the plastic off where the start switch is you can begin looking there. dont just look at male/female connectors and think they are correct. sometimes the wire pulls off the pin and not making contact but it looks good, know what i mean? also do you have a kill switch on your side stand? or do you have it on center stand when tying the switch?

It has a kill switch on the handlebar. I made sure its in the right position. everything is fine there because it runs fine after kick starting and I can kill it with switch.

Thanks for your help. I'll start tracing the wiring tomorrow. Is the relay you're speaking of near the starter?

ok first things first have you check the fuse it will be next to the battery the round type fuses that come in these things are crap i suggest getting a new fuse and putting it in then you need to make sure the battery is fully charged do you have a multi-meter then check the cables at the battery the factory ends then to cut though the wire and cause bad connections then check the grounds at the frame and the motor

1. When you turn on the KEY TO ON and SQUEEZE the BRAKE does your STOP LIGHTS COME ON?
2. When you hit the start button, does the starter spin and does the motor actually crank but won't start.
3. If it does turn over is the Starter turning it over FAST or SLOW? Alleyoop

All lights work. Just wouldn't turn starter. Then, I found a blown fuse at the battery. Replaced it and it started up and ran just fine. But, when I turned the key off, it wouldn't start with switch again but it did kick start fine. Going to now look at the fuse again. If its blown, will try to trace the fault and report back to you all.

Got it fixed. Cleaned battery and starter relay terminals, fasteners and wire ends. Started several times w/no problems. Suspect it was the battery posts.
Thanks to all for your help.
