i have a 2012 Tao VIP scooter with a150cc Gy6 engine. The inline fuse to the battery keeps blowing. I had to direct wire it to get home. What is making the fuse keep blowing and why cant I just keep it direct wired to keep it working ?

you have something shorting out and if you leave it direct wired you can burn your wireing harness up and make things worst. the way i find a short is to take the ground wire off the battery and hook up a light bulbbetween the battery - post and ground the light will come on then disconnect one part of the wiring at a time if the light stays on reconnect the part and try the next until the light goes out that is the part of the system you have the problem in then trace it to find the short
