They are very close in all categories but the 250B is somewhat lighter and if both are set up the same from all I've gathered the 250B will do a little better in speed and MPG.

Hi RJ, just wanting to follow up on the two issues and see if you scooter gods have any guidance for me. 1) lights fluctuate at idle and while cruising down the road. 2) RPM gauge not functions. Currently today it's stuck right under 4k.

RPM guage is either got moisture in it or going out. I've never took one of them apart but I did get water in one at the car wash once and it did the same thing and I set it out in the hot sun for about 2 days, it dried out and all is well.
Now that I know you have the 250B Robert I'm going to tell you to open her up on the back side and on the right side above the muffler is the R/R, blocking diode and a lot of wire connections.
All this pertains to the charging and lighting system. Even the circuit to your lights ties in right in this area by the blocking diode. We've got to go through the connections and do some voltage tests. So get that part open, get your multimeter, a comfortable chair and a cold glass of ice tea with a fan and when you get to this point let me know and we'll do some tests one at a time to find out what is going on with your lights.
