:'(took scoot apart to paint about 2 months ago and had a cut on my hand get infected.so didn't crank it much in 2 months maybe every now n then but not every day when i was riding, today it cranked this am but sputtered a Lil ,my gas Gage was sticking and someone told me to put some stuff in it to lubricate it but it wouldn't hurt the gas so i did this I'm wondering now if this stuff sitting has gone bad on me wondering do i need to drain tank and put new gas in or add something else in it to help taken all ideas .before all this i never had issues when taken scoot apart i didn't touch anything on the engine  |

it would not hurt to drain the tank and put fresh gas in if you do i would replace the filter to

If it is anything like my 260 mainstreet after sitting for an extended period of time it is a cold hearted sun of a gun to start. I feel part of the issue with the linhai is probably the gas has ran out of the carb bowl. Now these have an electric fuel pump. But the pump only runs when the motor is running so it spits very little fuel to the carb while you are cranking on it. after the bowl gets full it will start. We have actually ran the battery dead a couple of times starting this thing after it has sat. Then charge up and usually starts on the first or second push of starter switch. Just my theory.

JR i added Mystery oil bout 2 months ago someone told me this might help the float loosen up and fix the gas guage.is it possible this mystery oil has gone bad

Mystery oil would not cause this problem unless you put so much in it that the plug would not want to fire. If you've got sticking float problems generally it's a pull it apart and find out why deal and some of these additives are just the fly by night thing that sells people on the idea of it'll fix anything.
About the only gas additive I give any merit to is seafoam and even using it all the time is overkill IMO. If you've ran it any at all and can add some more gas you'll dilute the mystery oil even more and again that's not the issue.
You have the 3 amigos, fuel, spark and air and I like to add a sister, compression and if ones missing no scooter running.
If the float has been sticking I suspect it's stuck now and you're not getting any fuel at all. Time to start looking, pull the plug, look it over, see if you have spark, then head for the next amigo, do I have fuel?

i took tank out a month ago and fixed the floater.so that's not the issue yesterday i removed the rear tire and repacked the bearings put it all back together and it cranked right up i did that to check make sure nothing was rubbing when i put the breaks caliper back on again it cranked fine in between there and yesterday after noon it has decided not to start up .now battery is dead cause i got pissed n kept trying so re charging battery i just added a new spark plug a month ago guess ill go get a new 1 n try that other than that i haven't touched the engine i know the last few times i cranked it it acting like why haven't you cranked me lately ty JR

the mystery oil has been deluted with a tank of gas already actually it should have dome burnt out ..i got sick and wasn't able to crank it regurly like i did when i rode the bike i know the last few times i cranked it it was a lil fiesty but again it cranked fine yesterday morning then by the time yesterday afternoon rolled around it wouldnt

took spark plug out smells like gas and its black is that good or bad im good when it comes to electrical stuff but not good mechanic

after looking at spark plug in a good light its not black black u can see some dark color greyish black

spark plug is getting spark.gas is getting to carb air filter is clean it's turning over but just not starting im lost just can't figure it out yesterday it ran fine today it isnt  |

well readyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy for a laugh isn't always so simple after breaking it all down putting it all back together sent son to get a new spark plug ................and the damn thing started so much for getting all riled up for thanks guys for your help should have did that at the beginning.spark plug wow
