Well it does get its juice from the battery, so hooking in an off an on switch directly would be an easy thing to do. And then you could put it on whenever you wanted and leave the auto function as is. Alleyoop

How long have you owned this scoot? Has the cooling system always performed this way or has it gradually started running hotter? I haven't heard of many cooling problems with these scoots. It may be something that can be helped with normal maintenance like a good flushing and new 50/50 coolant along with some water wetter. It's a good idea to do this yearly or at least every other year if you are not running into problems. However, if the fan does not come on at the proper temp, then I would check out the fan temp sensor and the sensor lead connection on the radiator and replace or repair if necessary. This would probably be easier than running wiring and a new switch.

well check this out . i recently installed an hid on my scoot , i hooked it up in away that i controll when the light comes on and off . because my scoot has a switch for night lights so i attached the power to the ballast to that , and so i noticed that when the radiator fan kicked in , the fan was very low with the light on , once i turned the light off , it picked up guite a bit alot faster
