No jburd only one fuse is needed and on the positive terminal.
Good job and I'm betting you'll not have any issues now.

Just thought I would mention that the issues all appear to be resolved. I drove it today on a 40 minute drive to work. It drove like a charm. I have added the fuse for the 12v plug on the positive wire to the battery and it works great. It was nice to be able to charge my phone this morning on the way to work. Thanks again everyone for the assistance. Happy to be back on the road.
