hello i have a 202t 50cc scooter my piston and cylinder was scratched i was getting 94lbs when i checked the compression. I changed the piston and the cylinder, cleaned the tank and the carburetor. The bike is running rough the starter don't start the bike so i kick start it. the starter just turns over but don't start the bike that is another problem. it takes about 20 kicks to get started. I also changed the intake boot. i removed all screws to the carb so i don't know how many turns the air intake screw should be. i can ride the bike but it will idle up and down and sometimes shut off. It also has a new plug, i put to much time in this bike to be a 2 stroke please help ready to give up on this thing. thanks. Ernest

First what kind of carb is it? Is the Throttle cable attached to the Right side of the Carb on a bracket? Or is the Throttle cable going into the TOP of the carb.
Makes a big difference if the idle is bounceing it needs more fuel so if you know where the Mixture screw is RICHEN it up. If you don't know put up a picture of the Carb the LEFT SIDE of it
This is a 2 stroke so most likely the Throttle cable is goin into the top of the carb. So you should have TWO screws on the left side of the Carb. The Center Screw is for your IDLE it raises or lowers the Slide. Then the Mixture screw is either to the RIGHT of Center or Left of Center.
IF RIGHT of Center it is a AIR RATIO MIXTURE SCREW and you turn that CLOCKWISE to RICHEN the mixture(what it really does is cut off more air).
IF LEFT of Center it is a FUEL RATIO MIXTURE SCREW and you turn that COUNTER CLOCKWISE to RICHEN the mixture(this actually feeds it more fuel). Alleyoop

The cable is to the top and the mixture screw ison the right of the idle screw. How much do i turn it out if i have it all the way in. It is so hard to crank when it is cold, makes me think the choke not working. If you or anyone have any more ideas to get this bike running good let me know. a guy told me the bike will do this if the crank seals are bad, is this true?

Does it have an ENRICHER a black thing with two wires on the carb? Can you take a couple of pictures of the carb area?

Compression was low even when i changed the piston and cylinder. i have some pictures of the carb. I was wondering if you think the crank seals could be bad, thats why the compression is so low. lost info to post pictures please let me know
