Yes look like that Helix. Now the other issue is that I live in Mile High City Denver Colorado. Now I put in 1.8 gallons of 91 Oct. ( shell ) I ran 105 miles and thats about 58.333 miles per gallon. I did do some freeway driving at around 65 miles an hour. I thought this scoot would get better miles than 58 miles for 1.8 gallons. I can smell a little gas. So Im assuming that its running a little rich for the altitude. My question: If I need to have the air and gas mixture on carb retuned what kind of motorcycle shop would I goto to have the carb adjusted to the altitude? Unless they have changed the tank it should hold about 2.3 gallons total. I once lived, for 27 years in Longmont, a half hour or so north of Denver. My son still lives in Fort Collins and my daughter lives in Lakewood. Eleven years ago I moved to Cortez in the four corners area at 6,300 ft. A year ago I bought my scooter and did as much PDI as I could in freezing weather. Now this summer I hope to redo the PDI, do it more completely, and fix some problems as well. When I do I hope to develop a photo and narrative for the efforts. I now live in Arizona as the doctors said I must get off the mountains or start carrying air tanks. My scoot ran fine in Cortez but when I moved to Arizona in December 2011 I had to re adjust the idle speeds. It runs pretty good right now For living in Denver and running on the interstate I say you have much courage. I have always considered I-25 to be filled with some very aggressive drivers and they do move very fast, if they are not stopped by some wreck or traffic jam. I envy your position and do miss living in Colorado. I am a low mileage owner today but hope to get more riding as my health continues to improve. Welcome to the forum and enjoy your ride. What little I have used mine was really pleasant. .

Hozer, Does your carb look like this: If so the screw is right on top. Or like this: Like the carb on the motor here: If so then the Fuel Ratio screw is on the Other side near where it clamps onto the motor on the SIDE of the CARB, OR it is underneath where it clamps onto the motor which is a PAIN IN THE ASS TO GET TO.

Here is what you probably have: Notice where the Mixture screw is PAIN TO GET TO IT: Alleyoop

Hozer, You can loosen just the Clamps holding the carb and rotate it just enough so you can turn the screw CLOCKWISE rotate it back and tighten the clamps. A lot of guys do it that way. Alleyoop

Yes the screw is underside that is why you want to rotate the entire carb so that the screw is toward you enough for you to get a little screwdriver on the screw and turn it 1/4 clockwise. Alleyoop

LOL Alley is right on this carb adjustment on both accounts, it's running rich and it's a PITA to get to! Rotating the carb is the easiest way. they do make a long type mechancial right angle screwdriver and some have bought that to do this with. I looked a little but don't remember the correct description to google it.
On the spark plug the vertical engine is actually easier and the spark plug is on the left side versus the right on the linhai. You can get to it by removing the little side panel door with the one screw and taking the battery cover off from the top will give some more light and help seeing it to. Heck I have to lay down on the ground to get to the one on my linhai.
Where you are at in the hgih altitude you're going to to have to lean the fuel to match the lower oxygen that high up. People get confused on this but it's simple you only have air and you have to match the fuel to it to run right.
MPG should improve and running the tires at the right pressure and riding it at lower speeds will improve the MPG also.
Last but not least as the scooter breaks in the MPG should improve also.

If you look on the LEFT side right above the Footboard and little under the seat you will see an Access panel. It is held on by one screw and it slides Out toward the Front. You can get your hand in there and get to the Spark Plug. Also Open the seat and take the inside panel off like you did so you can guide your left hand that you put through the side access panel. Hozer's scoot has the vertical engine. The spark plug is accessed through a removable panel in the bottom of the underseat storage area. The side panel is also on my scoot but there is nothing behind it that can be serviced.
