That is the Diode you need that Cruiser posted. Cruiser and I both have actually eliminated this Diode and went with and Actual Relay on our scooters to help improve the charging system.

The relay eliminates the diode, yes the lights will come on with just the key on , but it actually gives the system a little more charging amps too. That's why lots of people are doing this on the CFMoto version of this scooter.

on the regulator can i check the out put by disconnecting the red wire from the couple on the regulator side of the harness and check the DC voltage by connecting a volt meter to the red wiire and batt ground

Yes but it isn't necessary. Just put the leads on the battery posts and check it at idle and at say 4000 rpm.

got the new banjo oil passage bolt in today, that fits on the oil pipe , large bolt front lower oil pipe fitting at the front lower right engine case, but its shorter than the stock one ,I ordered it from honda will this still work ? ordered it for a Honda cn 250 2007 part number 90002-km1-000
