I have a Tng Venice 49 cc 2stroke with a 90cc big bore. I keep blowing through headlights and instrument lights. I have replaced the stator, the regulator, the battery, and numerous bulbs but can’t find the problem. I have clean connections at the battery and the grounds (one on the side of the crankcase, one on the frame near battery, and one on the battery itself:
Symptoms- Lights running off the stator (headlight and instrument light) are dim when I start the engine- then as Rpms increase get brighter and blow out.
Any help you can give would be much appreciated!!!!

It sounds like the stator is putting out a big voltage,,probably wouldn't be a bad idea to reroute the power from the battery,,and as a side not check the output of the stator at higher rpm

The symptoms sound like a lack of regulation. Try another regulator. The regulator requires a good path to ground to sink off the excess voltage. Meter the grounds.
