Hi, as the subject says, I want to upgrade my current 6 pole stator which I already converted from half wave to full wave. I currently installed an ecotrons EFI kit but can only measure 12.9VDC when revving to 3,000RPM and above. Since the EFI kit takes 2amps from the battery, the charging is not enough to sustain the entire system leaving me with 2 choices with their corresponding problems and questions below:
1. Upgrade to 11 pole, 3 phase stator. Looking at available stators from aliexpress and other sites, my current size stator is big at 96mm. Available 11 pole stator that I saw is 93mm with the same hole diameter of 35mm. If I get a matching flywheel for an 11 pole stator, do I need to adjust the placement of my trigger/pulse coil depending on where the bulge of my flywheel is? How to adjust?
2. Upgrade to 18 pole stator. I found one with almost similar measurements as my current stator so I think I can refit it and mount on my engine case. Do I need a matching flywheel or can I use my old 6 magnet flywheel? What other modifications should I do?
Thanks in advance to those who will read this and especially to those who will reply.

I'd go with #2 the original flywheel should work just nicely,,,I had an et 4 and was considering fuel injection but went with a mikuni VM round slide carb instead and was happy with the results

Hi, can't find the 18 pole X9 500 stator in stock anymore but I found another 18 pole stator for a different bike. Outer diameter is 93mm vs the original 96mm. Assuming I'm able to mount it, would it still work? What should be the clearance between the flywheel and the stator?

There’s way more than just diameter to take into account,,,I’d say no

What if I get the flywheel that pairs with the stator? I can just adjust the angle of TDC in the tuning program of my ECU for the spark timing. I would also find a way to adjust the position of the pulse coil. You think this will work?

A few factors to consider flywheel depth,,shaft hole size as well as swage taper and flywheel face thickness woodruff key kerf size,,weight,,a lighter flywheel will give an erratic idle if too lite but quicker revs,,,and overall height so the cover can go back on
