Ok in pretty sure my starter button is bad and am just gonna replace with a push button switch i have. My problem is there are 4 wires going into switch i think 2 are for the kill switch and 2 for the starter button just dint know which is which. The screws are stripped out so cant get to the back of the switch so just plan on cutting those wires but don't know which they are. Wires are red/yellow, green/ black, green, and black. can anyone help me with this?

Sounds like you need to quit going on the cheap and order and install new handlebar switches on both sides. All the bypassing and substituting may come back to haunt you. The brake switches, after all, serve a couple important purposes. Don't know your scoot, but I replaced my left switch assembly for about $25.

I am going to replace them just did that as a way to check if that was my problem. Didn't have a tester to test them.
