Awright! Installed my gorilla-grade R/R from Oregon yesterday, and it's lookin' good. Around 14v at idle right after startup, and even with lights, fan, everything, still closer to 13 than 12. I'll take it out for a good run today or tomorrow and see how it performs, but my first impression is that Tony's R/R is everything folks here have said it is.

Cool! Question? Do you use the lights or driver any at night? If not then put some lower watt headlight bulbs in.
Keep us informed.

No, don't drive at night and never plan to, although dookey happens. Went on a 2-hour around-town run today, voltmeter in the 13-14 range the entire time (headlights off, LED running lights on, fan on and off as required). Much different. Only lower reading was after shutting down but key still in on position so fan still running, understandable. Believe the Oregon R/R was the final fix to my final problem. At least as far as electrical is concerned, would now be OK with one of the big circuit rides the local scooter club puts on.
Have in the back of my mind to put in LED headlight bulbs, but only if something else requires me to pull all the front plastics; major PITA and for now not necessary.

Man, that R/R from OregonMotorcycleParts is KILLER! Have been out on three runs around town so far, lots of enroute stops, never drops below 13v and fires up in two seconds after every stop. Anybody with charging issues, if you can afford a benjamin I can't recommend this enough.

That is correct as far as the one I bought, which was for a 2011 Roketa with the Honda clone engine. Note that in my case I had it delivered with NO connectors as I had re-located the R/R to an under-seat rack and added a computer-style 12v fan to keep the air circulating. So I installed my own bullet connectors. That fan seemed to keep the old R/R adequately cool, even though it wasn't entirely up to the job in other respects, and it seems to be doing fine with the new Oregon R/R as well. I'm so happy with the new one I could just sh...out! If its service lifetime turns out to be at least as good as its initial performance, our man up in Oregon deserves some kind of scooter medal. Rare when I get this excited about the performance of a replacement part, all to often they are cheapos made somewhere offshore or refurbs or whatever. At this point -- only two weeks in, bear in mind -- this R/R has been the next best thing to a cure for AIDS. SUPER!!!!
