Hi there!
My Baotian Retro BT49QT-11 has of recently started shaking uncontrollably when accelerating from zero to about 5 mph. The problem occurs a bit on and off (seems to be less during hot weather), but is still very annoying.
I surfed about around on your forum, and it seems this has something to do with the rollers being either stuck/ hindered due to grease - and that you have to take of the variator-cover and do a clean up.
But all of these words 'rollers' 'variator' etc. are new to me, so i'm a bit scared of actually doing something mechanically to them.
In similar threads there were pointed to some manuals for the specific scooters, so i was wondering if i could get some help, manuals or just general directions? =)
Thanks a lot for your help in advance

I would sooner think that your clutch pads need to be deglazed. When glazed, they will cause chattering on take off. You have to remove the cover you mentioned, then the clutch drum, then with a piece of sand paper, scuff up the clutch pads until all the shiney spots are gone. Clean, and lightly sand the drum before reinstalling. You can probably find a video somewhere on this procedure.

I agree with RKS, I also think the clutch pads are glazed and are slipping until enough centrifugal force is applied with higher rpms. But easy enough to fix just take the bell off and give the pads a few swipes with some sandpaper to take the glaze off. Alleyoop
