Hi, I would like to know if anybody out there knows how I can up-grade a 49cc 2003 geely Chinese scooter to get more power without changing out the engine. I was told that it my be possible to change out the piston and head, if that is truth I need to know the size and the name. Thanks for any help anyone can give me

The people at Valley scooters know that scooter and engine and can help you. BTW when you get ready to do this we would love to see/help in the progress and hope you'll take pics to demonstrate. JR

You will have to put in a bigger main jet in the carb and at least a free flow filter to get something from any BBK. After that you may need a free flow exhaust it all depends on the current exhaust that is on there now. Does the scoot have a CVT or is it chain driven.

Ok found your motor and it has a CVT belt drive not a chain drive. So your cvt works like this: Alleyoop

Hi alleyoop, I check the transmission casing and it has OIL on the inside of it and there is a chain semerged in the oil. It does not have a rubber belt. Thanks

Take a picture of the it I think your looking at the wrong thing. If your looking on the right side by the muffler your looking at the oil pump chain which is emerged in oil. I am talking about what is ON the LEFT side the side you get on and where you put the sidestand down. Alleyoop
