Did a mixture of town and country riding today, and it was running like normal again. But it's been a cool
weekend here, with a high of 68 degrees today. So hoping the thermoswitch was the problem, but have
to wait for hotter weather again to know for sure.

Good luck, the thermo was definitely bad so it might so do it.

Just thought I would give an update. Replacing the thermoswitch did take care of the overheating issue. I was still having charging issues after replacing the battery, and it turned out to be a short in the stator. After replacing the stator and thermoswitch, the scooter runs like new again. Almost 11 thousand miles now, and these are the only repairs I have had to make so far besides the regular maintenance. Will probably have to look at replacing the belt and rollers over the winter season.
