About how many miles before you should change your bearing? I believe my back tire one is shot.. I keep hearing a high pitched sound coming from that area around 5-15 MPH then it goes away. Could this be the issue?
Also I plan on changing my belt very soon... I don't want to wait till it blows into millions of pieces before changing. Does anyone have a certain brand, or are they pretty much all simular?
Now for changing valves... My scooter has just over 2,000 miles I haven't yet set my valves is this bad? I haven't really needed to I guess because I haven't really felt a lose of power until now.. When setting the valves what wrench size do you guys use for both? Is this a easy task?
Another quick question. When I was retrieving my gear oil bolt all went smoothly after I got the right tools. I couldn't find the correct thread pattern screw went to the local shop and got one... But it doesn't have the same washer as the one I broke & now my bear oil has been leaking slowly..... Is there any rubber plug? Or thread tape? Or anything like that would fix this problem?

Hi scooterer, I have mc-54-250b roketa scooter which has over 13,000mile and my CVT belt is still in good shape, when you were working in the CVT area did you inspect your belt, (that's the time to get those numbers off the belt before something happens) is there any cracking, does it look worn?

You also said you have a high pitched sound 5-15mph  when putting the clutch and variator back together did you put some grease on the boss shaft areas? it could be the belt adjusting  it take about 100miles for the belt to go into place. the rear wheel bearing is in your swing arm, if its set up like my 250b scooter  |

I got the numbers off my belt, and inspected it. All looked good, but I was just thinking about changing it just in case, or to just have a spare. Also I've went 75 miles since the fix, and its still making that high pitched almost a metal on metal sound. I didn't put grease on my boss bolt areas should I?? I searched " gear oil bolt" and "gear oil drain bolt" in that website, and didn't see what I was looking for, but thanks for the help, and website!
Also have you changed your rear wheel bearing??

I just changed my front bearing not to long ago, never did changed the rear bearing, I'll look for some info on it What size is that gear oil bolt? |

Do you have a motorcycle shop close by? Possibly a Honda dealer and repair place. Explain your problem to them and ask for a good solution. They may have oil resistant flexible washers that would do the job. I think my scoot had a soft copper or aluminum type of washer. I wonder about that as a long term reusable oil seal. Same with the flexible material. Probably need a hand backup in case they don't work well on the second or third reuse.

Put a little of the lithium grease on your clutch (just a little on the inside front where the needle bearing are) |

Went and got some lithium grease today and put it in my boss bolt and area's you mentioned. Also I picked up some thread tape, and a reverse washer. It goes from screw diameter size into a normal washer and it snugged my gear bolt right up!!! No gear oil leak anymore boys!! Thanks for the help my car port concrete floors thanks you. Also I found what that high pitched noise is ( I think ) it's something to do with a rear disc brake rubbing against my caliper? Any suggestions?

The disc brakes fit into caliper and there is two bolts that goes through the caliper to keep them in place, make sure they are not loose. |
