Hopefully someone has heard about this one...right now, I am suspecting a bad starter sellenoid, but here is what is happening now. With the key in the on position, and kill switch in the run position it acts like there is no power going to the front of the bike (no lights, no sound, no horn, nothing. So I short the sellenoid with a screew driver, give it a little gas as the starter is running, and magic happens, it starts runs and everthing works...
But wait, another wierd situation was discovered as I was trying to figure this out. If with the key on and in run position with the engine running, if you activate EITHER of the brakes, and depress the start switch, the starter motor will run.
Any advice would be sincerely appreciated....

Welcome to the forum. Your solenoid is OK. Your scoot might have a fuse block containing 4 fuses under the seat located next to the battery. Check the fuses and the connectors underneath the fuses. If the fuses are the original ones, they should be replaced with good American ones. Let us know what you find.

Also welcome to the forum. Just like Cruiser said check all of your fuses and there is one main 15or 20A fuse on the line (red) to the key switch also.
Also have you in any way messed with the remote alarm and tried to start it with it? reason I ask is it's real easy to mees it up so the scooter will not start with just the key on. That's why most people just unhook them.
Also as we tell everyone you need to do a thorough PDI on this scooter, it could easily just be a loose or disconnected wire.
Since you have no brake lights the starting point is there from a bad fuse to a loose wire or disconnected wire because the brake light and stater relay are connected together, no brake light, no start.
Also check both brakes because the scooter will start with either brake handle pressed. If it will not start with either one then for sure you have no voltage to them or going out. The wire that feeds the brake switches is black and the wire coming from both switches to the brake light and stater relay is yellow/green. They are connected together behind the front headlight cowling assembly and you'll have to remove it to see them.
Keep us informed we're here to help.
